A Brimpton Linguist
Will develop an enthusiastic and positive attitude to other languages and language learning.
Will make links between their own language and a Latin rooted language and become more aware of their own language(s) which will support their literacy and oracy in school.
Will develop a broader intercultural understanding and understand the world they live in better.
When leaving Brimpton CofE Primary School, children will have a natural curiosity and confidence to explore, other countries, cultures and languages. They will understand that, in a multi-lingual society it is important to be able to communicate effectively with others in another language. Children will be engaged and prepared to continue language learning at Secondary School.
Pen Pals
Key Stage 2 pupils have started a pen pal correspondence with a French primary school Cloyes les Trois Rivieres in the region centre.
The children are using their French and English vocabulary to communicate with the children. They are learning about each other's culture and habits
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
