THERE ARE THE FOLLOWING VACANCIES ON THE BOARD:
1X LOCAL AUTHORITY GOVERNOR 1X PARENT GOVERNOR 1X CO-OPTED GOVERNOR
Brenda Harding - Chair of Governors

I have been a resident of Brimpton for 34 years and am a serving magistrate on the Berkshire Bench. As Chairman of the Magistrates Youth Panel I worked alongside the various agencies serving Berkshire's children and believe that through a sound education children develop confidence as well as competence that will equip them for a successful and stable future. I hope that as a governor of Brimpton School I will be able to contribute towards furthering this ethos in our local children.
Heidi Davies (Head Teacher)

I have lived in Thatcham for over 30 years and have been teaching in West Berkshire for the past 18 years. I have 3 children who all love school and have been very forthcoming with ideas on how to be a ‘headteacher’ at Brimpton! I love the performing arts and this is something I hope to continue to develop at Brimpton. It has been such a privilege to start at Brimpton. The warmth of the school is really apparent. This is something I hope to nurture and enhance alongside the passionate team of teachers that Brimpton is lucky to have. I believe in developing the whole child and that if a child is safe and happy they will learn.
Zoë Baker (Staff Governor)

I am the staff governor, and have been teaching at Brimpton School since 2007. I am the class teacher for the younger Key Stage 2 children, and among my responsibilities I hold the position of Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator.
Rachel Jones (Parent Governor)
Graeme Holt (Co-Opted Governor) Finance Committee Chair
I have lived in Brimpton Common for 20 years and my wife and I have raised both our daughters there. I qualified as an accountant in 1993 and have worked as an independent interim/consultant since 2007. I am delighted to join the Board of Governors as Chair of Finance Committee since it offers me the opportunity to help and support this wonderful school as it grows and develops.
Gemma McCrae (Parent Governor)
Reverend Jane Manley (Foundation Governor)

I am the Rector of the Benefice of Aldermaston and Woolhampton serving the local communities in six villages. A foundation governor in a Church School has the additional task of ensuring that the whole curriculum and all that we do as a school, adds a Christian value and ethos. I see my role as supporting the school to value and encourage all our children and staff, including those of other faiths and no faith, to become the people God created them to be – ‘education is about fullness of life’ to quote Archbishop William Temple. I help maintain the good relationship we have with St Peter’s Church and lead Collective Worship on a weekly basis.
Susan Moore (Foundation Governor)

I have lived in Brimpton for the past 5 years and began my early career working in Child Protection and then moved to the NHS until retirement. My role in the NHS often brought me to link with various education departments in the area of Special Educational Needs.
Outside work I have had a life long love of singing both as a chorister in a church choir and a performer in opera. I have already observed the talent of some of the pupils of Brimpton School (and their teachers) and hope I may be able to help with this in the future.
Gayle Bonner (Clerk)

My role as Clerk to Governors is to provide effective administrative support, procedural and legislative advice to the governing board.
I am currently undertaking my Clerks Professional Accreditation and I Clerk for two other West Berkshire schools.
